>> In 2011, Hrithik Roshan was voted a gay icon by a website. Apparently, he is amongst the top ten most kissed celebrities at Madame Tussauds in London, and most of these kisses happen to come from men.
>> In December 2011, Sir Elton John was voted the top gay icon of all times. The 62-year-old Grammy-winning pop star is married to his long term lover David Furnish.
>> Imran Khan, who has been a supporter of gay rights, was the first actor in India to feature on the cover of a magazine for the gay community in 2011. “It’s flattering to be called a gay icon,” said Imran at the time.
