Some Hollywood A-listers seem to have no ego issues when openly imitating another celeb's style
When Kim Kardashian debuted her dramatic platinum blonde locks, the world was just slightly confused. Fans went on Twitter comparing the drastic hair colour change to Draco Malfoy from 'Harry Potter' and Orlando Bloom from 'Lord of the Rings'.
The voluptuous beauty later went on record saying that her new hair colour was not just inspired by but also a tribute to the queen of pop Madonna.
We give you a lowdown of a few other celebs who have been 'inspired' by other celebrities and exhibited it none too apologetically.
Hilary Duff, who has filed for divorce from Mike Comrie, continues to find the sympathy of her loyal fan base. What surprised everyone, though, was when she walked out of a salon with blue hair! The Disney star and mother showed her fun and adventurous side when she coloured her hair a shade of teal and flaunted it on a social networking platform. But speculation was rife that it was a stark copy of Kylie Jenner's rich turquoise mane.
The younger Jenner sister went on record recently saying that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are her fashion inspirations. Kylie herself has an interesting sense of fashion, an edgy and casual dressing style as compared to her older siblings. But that didn't deter her from being vocal about the inspiration she derives from Kimye.
Mayer drew speculation when he stepped out with a hat and long hair and a buttoned down plaid shirt. Not only the obvious change in his dressing styl, but also his mannerisms compelled people to compare him to the inimitable Johnny Depp. Well, you can't blame the singer. It's been quiet on the Mayer news front.
Marilyn Monroe is quite an icon in every sense of the word. From Drew Barrymore to Ashley Judd, several actresses have paid homage to the effervescent beauty by copying bits and pieces of her indomitable style. But one person who makes it to the top of the list is Lindsay Lohan. Such is her love for the timeless diva that she doesn't have any qualms admitting it either. Lohan even has a tattoo which says 'everyone's a star and deserves the right to twinkle', which is a famous Marilyn Monroe quote.
Thanks to her sexy red carpet poses and lips abundant, the media soon started touting Fox as the 'new' Jolie. The Lara Croft star didn't take very kindly to these comparisons to Fox, especially because the latter is much junior to her. Fox, too went on record saying that she loathes the title and that she is not 'the next anyone'.
Gaga hasn't really shied away from expressing her love and admiration for Madonna. But she doesn't really have to, as her music videos and personal style speak volumes about this facet anyway. Madonna however, unlike her contemporaries, has taken this in her stead. She said that she finds this emulation 'amusing, flattering and well done.' In fact, the two even went a step further and teamed up for a catfight skit for Saturday Night Live.
