Delhi designers have found a new muse in Pakistan foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar after Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni

While the opposition is crying hoarse over her meeting Kashmiri separatists after landing in the Capital, the fash frat in Delhi is going gaga over Hina Rabbani Khar's graceful sense of dressing. Delhi designers have found a muse in Khar after Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni. Khar, who landed in a blue salwar, donned a cream salwar for the meeting with Krishna, with the very hip loose pajamas, a Birkin bag, oversized sunglasses and a string of pearls around her neck. A look that the designers here areu00a0 describing as 'stylish and dynamic'.

"It's very stylish keeping in mind her portfolio," said designer Nida Mahmood. "I love her. She is very dynamic and different. How else can a foreign minister dress? I think her choice of dressing is very smart," said Leena Singh.

"She is quite a breath of fresh air for someone who comes from Pakistan," said Shantanu of Shantanu-Nikhil.
Given a choice, Leena would have Khar wear a dress with gloves. "But I don't think Pakistan will allow that," she said. "Her loose trousers are very modern Pakistan and portrays a very modern image," added Leena.
What Nida liked best about Khar's ensembles is that they are not flashy. "It has the amount of austerity expected out of a politician's outfit. The simple strappy sandals and the Birkin bag add a touch of formality. I also like the idea of pajama instead of a churidar. It's a very Pakistani outfit, different from what politicians generally wear," she said.

The designer would have Khar experimenting with frill and less austere silhouettes. "Her discerning style statement will be more pronounced if she does pull off some strategic and politically, may we say a coup of sorts, progressive decisions with India," said Shantanu.
