ICC should go against India on DRS use: Boycott

Former England opening batsman Geoff Boycott believes that the International Cricket Council (ICC) should make the Umpire Decision Review System (UDRS) mandatory despite India's resistance to its use.

The Daily Times quoted Boycott as telling ESPNcricinfo that some ICC countries are afraid of offending India, but that if a majority voted for the use of DRS they could simply say "sorry India, you are in a minority."

He said "India won''t like it, but you can't be run by one country."

u00a0ICC's cricket committee made a number of recommendations in May, including that DRS should be implemented in all test matches and ODIs, but with a limit of one failed review instead of the current two.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has consistently opposed the DRS, claiming that it is not 100 percent foolproof.
