Ashwin removed Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels. "Ashwin bowled really well. I was very impressed. The reason he is different is because he has got lot of variety.
He brings a fresh lease of life into the attack with five different variationsu00a0-- more than any other spinner in the world today," Kapil told MiD DAY after the first day's play.
Kapil hoped that Ashwin would carry the mantle of India's leading spinner in the years to come. "With so much variation and a calm head, he has what it takes to lead India's spin attack in the future.
I hope India get an excellent Test bowler in him," he added.
