Madrid: Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo will have an extra spring in his step when he takes on Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon stadium on Sunday.

The Portuguese became his club's all-time top scorer on Wednesday when he netted twice at Malmo in his team's 2-0 win in the Champions League. Ronaldo has 324 goals, one more than former Real captain Raul.

Speaking of Sunday's Madrid derby, Ronaldo (30) , who scored 61 goals in all competitions last season, said: “The derby is always a difficult game.
It's always complicated to win at Atletico. They are a top team but we are ready for them. I was surprised (Atletico) lost on Wednesday.” Real have not beaten Atletico in La Liga since their 2012-13 campaign.
