Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is urging caution when the Blues face Wigan Athletic tonight. The Latics were on the end of a home thrashing by Premier League newcomers Blackpool last week, losing 4-0 at the DW Stadium. Chelsea, in contrast, destroyed another newly-promoted side, West Bromwich Albion, 6-0 at Stamford Bridge.
"We are definitely not taking victory for granted," he said, according to the London Evening Standard.
"The defeat against Blackpool will either demoralise them or give them a kick up the backside. I would imagine it would probably be the latter and we will need to be on our game. We need to fly out the blocks," the midfielder added.
