According to a source, the 34-year-old will take a six-month break from Hollywood so that he can spend more time with his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum and their 18-month-old daughter Everly, reports contactmusic.com.

Tatum has had a busy schedule this year, thanks to his films "Foxcatcher", "The Lego Movie", "22 Jump Street" and "Jupiter Ascending", but he plans to take on fewer film projects in 2015.

"Channing realises that burning the candle at both ends has been unhealthy, and he's ready to make changes.

"He told Jenna that after this next wave of projects, he's taking at least a six-month break. He wants to be able to read Everly bedtime stories, tuck her in at night, then wake up and make her pancakes," US OK! Magazine quoted the source as saying.

Tatum recently admitted that he and his wife would consider having another baby.

The insider added: "Finally, they're in a good place and gearing up to welcome a second baby.

"And Jenna made him promise that if there were another baby on the way, Chan would be a more committed family man. It would break Jenna's heart if their next baby's first steps happened while Channing was on a movie set."
