The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Ombudsman has asked the Board’s office bearers what action have they taken with regards to former Test batsman Pravin Amre, who holds a coaching position in Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Daredevils and is a managing committee member of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Ombudsman has asked the Board’s office bearers what action have they taken with regards to former Test batsman Pravin Amre, who holds a coaching position in Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Daredevils and is a managing committee member of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

The complaint about a possible conflict of interest was filed to the Ombudsman by Nadim Memon, a former MCA managing committee member.
In an order dated July 6 of this year, the Ombudsman stated that Amre cannot, “continue to be a part of the MCA Managing Committee and the Delhi Daredevils (or any other IPL team) coaching staff at the same time and had directed BCCI to take appropriate action against Mr Ambre (sic) for the 2016 edition of the IPL.”
When no action was taken by the BCCI and MCA, Memon wrote to the Ombudsman again after which the Ombudsman’s office wrote to the BCCI officebearers on September 15.
