Queen of pop, Madonna has been left shattered after realising that she is fighting a 'losing battle' for her son Rocco to come home. The singing superstar has been fighting ex-husband, director Guy Ritchie in a bitter custody battle for her 15-year-old son to return to the family home in the US.

A friend close to the 57-year-old said: "The fact is Madonna has now accepted Rocco isn't coming home and that his home is now with his dad. Rocco wants to be with his dad but she won't give up being his mother.
"She won't stop fighting to try to make sure Rocco is kept safe and has what he needs. She can't understand why it has come to this. Her world has been shattered."
Madonna and Ritchie are said to have reached a temporary truce as their lawyers enter negotiations over the care for their son. Madge is reportedly making several demands so that she retains some parent influence over her teen son.
Those issues will be raised as Madge prepares for a new court date in New York later this month. Madonna recently broke down on stage during a live gig in New Zeland as she talked about Rocco. Dedicated La Vie en Rose to her boy, she had said: "I hope he hears this somewhere. I hope he knows how much I miss him."
