A 19-year-old man in Delhi has been held for sexually assaulting his 12-year-old mentally ill neighbour.
A 19-year-old youth was arrested for raping a 12-year-old mentally challenged girl at his house in Burari, north Delhi, police said Wednesday. The man is the girl's neighbour.

The sexual assault was reported Tuesday evening.
"The youth took the girl to his house on the pretext of giving her something to eat. He then raped the girl and was caught red-handed by neighbours, who handed him over to the police," Deputy Commissioner of Police Sindhu Pillai said.
A case was registered after medical examination of the girl confirmed rape. The attacker was Wednesday sent to judicial custody.
