Director Prashant Chadha made a mark for himself when he made music videos for Himesh Reshammiya and even directed the singer-actor-producer’s debut film Aap Ka Suroor.
After going on a sabbatical for a few years, he returned to make Azaan with Sachiin Joshi. The film tanked but Prashant’s directorial skills were appreciated.
He was recently roped in by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt for his next project, starring Kunal Khemu. However, word is that the director has staged a walkout from the project.
A source says, “There were huge differences between Vikram and Prashant over the treatment of the film. Ultimately, Prashant decided to not do the film.”
Three years ago, this film was to be directed by Deepak Tijori. But after problems cropped up between him and Bhatt, the project was shelved.
While Prashant confirmed the story, Bhatt remained unavailable for comment.
