Rahul Raj Singh, former boyfriend of the late actor Pratyusha Banerjee has added another FIR to his collection. He has now been accused of molesting a 21-year-old actress and her producer friend at a restaurant in Oshiwara in the wee hours of Monday. The incident has been captured on CCTV and its footage has been handed over to the police.

Singh’s friend, who was with him that night, has also been named in the FIR and has filed a counter FIR against the actress and her friend. The incident took place on Sunday night at the Bora Bora restaurant in Andheri West.
According to police sources, Singh was having dinner and drinks with his friend, while the 21-year-old actress was going to the restaurant with her producer friend for the same. However, while the two were entering the restaurant, Singh approached her friend and started beating him up.

Speaking to mid-day, the actress said, “Rahul seemed completely inebriated. Around 12.30 am, when we were entering the restaurant, Rahul saw us and suddenly became furious. He approached us and started arguing with my friend and later, hit him.”
“When I tried to stop Rahul, he physically abused me and used foul language. When I approached Rahul’s woman friend, who was with him at the restaurant, she too misbehaved and said whatever Rahul did was right,” she said.
‘Handled many like you’
The woman said, “Later, Rahul said that I have handled many women like you. In Pratyusha’s case, the police could not do anything to me. What can you do, you are nothing. At the time of the incident, Rahul was completely drunk. He could barely walk.”
Later, the actress and her friend went to Amboli police station and filed an FIR, after which Singh’s friend filed a counter FIR.
Seeking revenge?
The actress’s male friend said, “A few weeks ago, Rahul had come to my Andheri West office with some project. However, as I am currently busy with another project, I asked Rahul to come and meet me later. Rahul stayed back in office and started smoking. He even misbehaved with me. There were several arguments between us before he left the office. I think he created the whole ruckus at the restaurant to take revenge against me for disapproving his project.”

mid-day tried to contact Singh’s friend for comment on the issue. However, she did not answer any calls. A police officer from Amboli police station said, “We have filed a cross case under Section 354 9 Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. We will verify CCTV footage and take statements in the matter. Further investigations are on before we arrest anyone.
