Los Angeles: British singer Sam Smith scooped as many as four Grammy awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, at a ceremony held in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

At the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, he walked home with Record of the Year for 'Stay With Me (Darkchild Version)'. Other nominees in the category were 'Fancy' by Iggy Azalea Featuring Charli XCX, 'Chandelier' by Sia, 'Shake It Off' by Taylor Swift and 'All About That Bass' by Meghan Trainor.
In his acceptance speech, he thanked the man who broke his heart. "You got me four Grammys."
He also won Song of the Year for 'Stay With Me (Darkchild Version)', beating artists like Taylor Swift and Sia.
Sam Smith also performed the track with Mary J. Blige at the ceremony, attended by biggies like Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney and Lady Gaga.
Smith bagged the Best Pop Vocal Album for "In the Lonely Hour" and also Best New Artist.
