Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan have not been included in the probables list for the ICC Champions Trophy in England from June 6 to 23.
Sehwag, who was overlooked for the ODI series against England, has not found a place in the BCCI’s list of 30 probables for the Champions Trophy. The explosive batsman was also dropped for India’s last two Tests against Australia.
Harbhajan last played an ODI in June 2011. Another exclusion from the list is of pacer Zaheer, who last played an international game in December 2012.
Pujara too fails to make cut
Cheteshwar Pujara, who was recently praised by Rahul Dravid, also failed to make the cut. Dravid said: “With his attitude and the way he is going about playing his cricket, I think he will find answers to a lot of these questions and one of them will be one-day cricket.”
However, Pujara is tipped to tour South Africa with the India A side in June. Shikhar Dhawan has been rewarded for his 187 on debut against Australia in Mohali Test.
