The shifting of the IPL semi-finals From Bangalore to Navi Mumbai has disappointed cricket lovers as well as cricket administrators in the city.

"It is very disappointing. Whoever planted the bomb spoilt the spirit of our city. Everyone thought Bangalore was the best place for these matches.

All that is a thing of the past now," said Kannada actress Ramya, who was at the venue, when the blast occurred. she is also a brand ambassador for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

"It is heartbreaking. All of us associated with cricket were so geared up. All our preparations were complete, so not having the semi-finals here is sad.

People can get their tickets refunded today from gate number nine of the Chinnaswamy stadium at 11 am," said Sudhakar Rao, assistant secretary, Karnataka State Cricket Association, who plans to travel to Mumbai to watch the semi-finals.

"Despite the police commissioner's assurances that security would be tightened for the semi-finals, the IPL committee decided to move the matches.

They are worried for the players' safety. We are helpless," Rao added.

However, every Bangalorean is not lucky enough to go to Mumbai. Hence the shift of venue has shattered their dreams of watching any IPL match in the city in this season.

"Watching a match live is much more thrilling. All the plans have gone for a toss. Shifting is no solution.
