Ahead of a gig, Yohann Jamsandekar a.k.a Spacejams and Abhimanyu Meer a.k.a Norcotiq of 2Sensitive chat about their music mix

Sensitive sounds

Q. How did you meet and decide to make music?
A. We met around 12 years ago in college and reconnected around three years back. We started jamming together as soon as we met. Music making has always been our way to make a connection.

Q. How would you describe your sound?
A. We would describe it as the sound of music! Actually, we love to contextualise all the good music we find and play it.

Q. Who inspires you?
A. We are inspired by many genres and styles. But Hip-Hop has been the defining element. Artistes like 2Pac and B.I.G. have always delivered a message with their music and that’s what we aim to do every time we perform as well.

Q. How has the audience responded?
A. Audiences seem to be enjoying our sound so far. People come up to us, and say, ‘I never thought I’d dance to that’. That really motivates us to take our shows to a whole new level.

Q. What can we expect from tonight’s gig?
A. We will be playing a mix of Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop and all the music that fits in with the warm vibe of the space.
