Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and Instagram to wish his fans on the occasion of Independence Day.


King Khan's tweet read: "Happy Happy Independence Day to my country women & men 15th Aug 2016. A day of Pride, Happiness Love &..."



The tweet ended with a Instagram link to a video (which can be viewed below) featuring Shah Rukh Khan seated in front of a glass table wishing fans a Happy Independence Day, which contains three glasses having orange, white and green liquids each stacked upon the other and what appeared to be candies in orange, white and green, signifying the colours of the Indian tri-colour.

SRK explains in the video that this was an improvised version of the tricolour that he told his children to come up with. He also asked fans to "guess, who did which one." Shah Rukh Khan wished fans, "a very Happy Independence Day," and said he hopes that, "we have lots of freedom, lots of love" and that, "the country grows from strength to strength". Strains from 'Saare Jahan Se Acchha' could be heard in the background.

Shah Rukh Khan recently made news for getting detained at the US airport once again by immigration department officials. (Read more)
