Rajkot: With an afternoon practice session scheduled, the Indian team had a leisurely breakfast yesterday morning. First, it was Ishant Sharma who walked into the dining hall at around 10 am. He sat in front of the giant TV at the centre of the hall and was soon glued to the Australia vs South Africa Test at the WACA in Perth even as he slowly sipped his fruit juice and tucked into the freshly-cut fruit platter.

Umesh Yadav joined him 15 minutes later and the two quicks were seen enjoying the highlights over a lengthy breakfast which had Indian and continental fares in the spread.

A little later, skipper Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay and Jayant Yadav joined them. But by then, the highlights of the 2012-13 India-England series, which the Indian team lost 1-2, was on. The mood didn’t change much on the table, but by the look of the players, it seemed that they had a heavy meal quite early in the day.
