Stunned Victoria Beckham broke down in tears three times yesterday nightu00a0-- as she won a top fashion gong. The ex Spice Girl, sobbed, "I'm so sorry for crying. This is really rubbish of me. I am so nervous, this means so much to me."

Posh beat Stella McCartney, Burberry and former Gucci and YSL director Tom Ford to land Designer Brand Of The Year at the British Fashion Awards.

The mum of four paid tribute to her soccer ace hubby, saying, "Without David I wouldn't have had the courage to do what I'm doing."

She added, "I would like to thank the British fashion industry for your support, I'd like to thank my team, you all know who you are, your focus, your creativity.... Simon Fuller...."

She looked dazzling in a backless black gown as she was applauded by glamorous names including Kelly Brook, Abbey Clancy, and UK PM's wife Samantha Cameron who wore a tight black velvet dress to the bash.

The glamorous evening also saw Sarah Burton, who created the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress and her sister Pippa Middleton's bridesmaid outfit, named Designer of the Year for her work at fashion brand Alexander McQueen.
