Three is company
I am relieved that my film has worked, because I wasn't always sure whether such an out-of-the-way script would work at the box-office. And for once, I'm not the quintessential chocolate boy in the film. In fact, none of us three are. I guess this concept of three friends in a film has become quite a trend. Right from Amar Akbar Anthony to 3 idiots, the formula seems to be working magic on the screen. I think script wise, three friends are just right as they don't create too much clutter. Expecting the audience to familiarise themselves with more than three characters in three hours is also asking for too much. But interestingly we have never seen three leading ladies in a film. I guess it is because our industry is a hero dominated industry. And maybe the thought of having three leading ladies without a central male character in a film scares the writers, directors and more so, the producers. But I'm happy that this funda has worked for me.
Friends forever
Even in real life, I hang out in twos and threes. I'm not such a 'group' person. In fact, I'm quite private. I arduously select my friends and they usually become very close to me. I prefer meeting my friends face-to-face rather than messaging them. And I don't believe in staying in touch with them through networking sites. In fact I don't even have an account on any of the popular sites. According to me friendship is a relationship that gives you the freedom to decide how you want it to be. But Avantika is the complete opposite of me. She is a people's person and all her celebrations are huge and elaborate.u00a0u00a0u00a0
