Tulip festival, Kashmir
Kashmir is not just known for saffron but tulips too. Unlike every year, the tulips of Kashmir have bloomed earlier this year. Srinagar is home to the largest tulip garden in Asia and grows some of the widest variety of the colourful flower. The festival will also host folk performances.

Thrissur Pooram, Kerala
Witness the biggest pooram festival (dedicated to goddess Durga or Kali) of Kerala, Thrissur Pooram. Held near the Vadakkumnathan Temple, it is known for 30 richly decorated elephants and the traditional music played with chenda, kuzhal, kombu and elathalam.
