The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) team observed two minutes silence in the Capital on Saturday during a practice game against Madhya Pradesh to pay their respects to late Test cricketer Raman Lamba.
Saturday marked 16 years for Lamba's death caused by a head injury while playing a club match in Dhaka in 1998. It is learnt that Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir willingly agreed to a request made by Delhi selector Hari Gidwani to pay homage to Lamba, who died at the age of 38.
