Parthiv Patel, who interacted quite a but with Australian great Michael Hussey during his three years with Chennai Super Kings, said the cricketing world will miss its 'encyclopedia' after the Aussie announced his decision to retire from international cricket on Saturday.
The India wicketkeeper forged a good rapport with Hussey during the 2008 and 2010 editions of the IPL.
“I have a lot of fond memories of him. He was very intense on the ground and was rightly called Mr Cricket. He always talked about the game anytime of the day and knew the technical aspects of all the three departments - literally an encyclopedia of cricket,” Patel told SUNDAY MiD DAY on the sidelines of the Gujarat vs Mumbai Ranji Trophy tie at the DY Patil Stadium.
