As part of a style week, Tanishaa Mukerji was supposed to be the showstopper for designer Shalini Mehta on Saturday. However, minutes before she was supposed to go up on the ramp, the actress decided to exit the venue leaving the event organisers on the tenterhooks.

A source says, "We had planned a few marketing programmes with Tanishaa and she had agreed to be the showstopper for Shalini. This was to be followed by a media interaction where she would have talked about the designer and her label. But, she suddenly made an exit looking upset."
It is said that the actress reached the venue on time but had to wait for a long time for the make-up artist and hairdresser to arrive. This irked her and she chose to walk out of the show.
Confirming the report, a source close to the actress says, "Tanishaa was made to wait for nearly 90 minutes. She was very patient with the entire team despite the chaos. However, the organisers did not live up to their word and due to their unprofessional attitude, Tanishaa decided to leave the venue. Shalini also apologised as the fault was from the organisers' side."
The designer, however, lends a different version to the story. Says Shalini, "Tanishaa was supposed to be my showstopper but she had to leave as she was feeling unwell."
Tanishaa remained unavailable for comment.
