With the trio of Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Tillakaratne Dilshan in blazing form, it's a difficult task for Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Daniel Vettori to shortlist the four foreigners, including himself, in the XI for today's match against Kolkata Knight Riders here at the Eden Gardens.

Veteran spinner Muttiah Muralitharan may be an obvious choice. “Sometimes, you have to leave out somebody who deserves to be in the team to get the balance right.

That’s the hardest part. Every captain in the IPL goes through that. You have so many good players and options,” said Vettori.

On Murali’s potential axe, he said: “It’s incredibly difficult. We just continue to find the right balance. Guys understand that they might miss out in some games.”
