Veteran filmmaker Woody Allen says he has been a fan of Miley Cyrus since he saw her on TV show Hannah Montana.

Allen saw Cyrus play the titular character in the musical TV series because his kids were fans of the show and he was impressed by her comic timing, reports a website.
"When I was younger and my kids were growing up, I would go through the channels and see her for a second. I stopped and I noticed, 'Who is this kid? She's got a great delivery!' She was knocking off those one-liners like she was a very gifted comic performer, and then I forgot about her and moved on," Allen, 80, said.
The director-actor duo have teamed up for comedy TV series Crisis in Six Scenes and the filmmaker is happy with the performance of the 23-year-old. "I thought to myself, 'She is perfect for this part. Why don't I cast her?' And she turned out to be a wonderful actress who is erific with the gag lines."
