YP Singh: Harshwardhan Patil involved in housing scam

Former IPS officer YP Singh alleged that Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshwardhan Patil has grabbed a flat in the controversial Ashirwad Co-operative Housing Society in his wife Bhagyashri's name yesterday

He alleged that Patil first tried to usurp the flat on his mother’s name. Later, he put forward his wife’s name to stake claim on the 1,076 sq-ft flat.

In the affidavit, Bhagyashri showed her monthly income as Rs 6,000 and that of her spouse as nil. On the contrary, Patil, while contesting the 2004 assembly elections, had shown his assets as over Rs 1 crore.
