Congress sitting MP and candidate Rahul Gandhi conducted a roadshow in Wayanad - his constituency before filing his nomination on April 03. His sister and party's general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also accompanied him throughout the Roadshow He was also accompanied by AICC general secretaries KC Venugopal and Deepa Das, AICC in-charge of the National Students' Union of India Kanhaiya Kumar as well as Leader of Opposition in the state assembly VD Satheesan and KPCC acting president M M Hassan. Rahul Gandhi received a nice welcome in his constituency with thousands of people out on the streets holding placards, banners and party flag as they cheered for their leader. Milind Deora quits Congress ending '55-years relationship', to join Shiv Sena?

Milind Deora has ended ‘55-yr relationship’ with Congress and according to sources, he might join Shinde-led Shiv Sena. According to sources, Milind Deora, along with few former corporators and 450 supporters, will join Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday at around 2 pm. After Milind Deora quits Congress, he further said he was walking on the path to development. Post this, he was seen offering prayers at the Siddhivinyak temple. "Today marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in my political journey. I have tendered my resignation from the primary membership of @INCIndia, ending my family’s 55-year relationship with the party," Milind Deora said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

A Punjab court on Monday summoned Congress party chief Mallikarjun Kharge in a ₹ 100 core defamation case over the party equating the banned Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) with Bajrang Dal in its Karnataka Assembly election manifesto. The complainant said the Congress in its manifesto compared Bajrang Dal with "anti-national organisations like SIMI and Al-Qaeda" during the recently-concluded state polls. Politicians from various parties reacted to the summon, calling it a strategy to silence the opposition, especially after the Congress’ victory in Karnataka.
