Congress Councillor of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, Niranjan Hiremath said, "I have given the name of 8 people openly. They have not even caught one person. I am losing faith now. They are trying to divert my case. Give it to CBI if you cannot do it... The commissioner in this case is a lady, even then she is not taking a girl's murder seriously... She is working under some pressure... I demand the commissioner should be transferred for negligence in the case... I demand that the case should be given to CBI.”

After two children were hacked to death in Budaun's Baba Colony on March 19, the parents of the deceased opened up about the incident and demanded justice. “We want justice. We want him to be interrogated in our presence. And then we want him to be killed in front of us. We won’t be at peace until we see him die in front of our eyes. I want him to die just like how he killed our children,” said Sangeeta, the mother of the deceased.Meanwhile, the father of the deceased children said, “Javed had borrowed money earlier too, 2-3 months back. This time too, he asked for money, took our kids to the roof, and killed them. He didn’t spare the younger child too. When our other child complained to us, he ran away. His shop used to be filled with gamblers. We want to know who is behind these murders… We want an interrogation, then an encounter.”

Amid the ongoing Farmers Protest 2024, Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee General Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher shared details of the demands of the protesting farmers who are carrying out ‘Dilli Chalo’ march. He said that if the MSP guaranteeing law can’t be made so soon, the Centre should give at least a legal guarantee. Ahead of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march called by farmers, the security arrangements have been tightened at Singhu border on February 12. Earlier, Delhi Police on Feb 11 imposed Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code in North-East Delhi and at the borders with neighbouring Uttar Pradesh to avoid any untoward incidents and ensure law and order amid the Delhi Farmers protest. Sarvan Singh Pandher, General Secretary of Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, shared details of the demands that the farmers are keeping forward. "We will start from Beas & stay at Fatehgarh Sahib. Our demands are the same- MSP guarantee law, sugarcane should be joined with C200. When a farmer turns 60 years old, he should be given Rs 10,000 a month. It is unfortunate that the Indian farmer is called anti-national. We are not anti-national, we are the citizens of this country. For 75 years our demands were not heard. We will move peacefully & our objective is that the government listen to our demands."

Demanding an apology from the INDIA bloc over the mimicry incident of Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on December 19 said that the opposition members tried to belittle the image of Vice President adding that they are against the tribal and farming communities of the nation. While expressing concerns in Rajya Sabha over the Jagdeep Dhankar Mimicry Incident, Pralhad Joshi said, "Leader of Congress, a former Congress President who could not manage his own party affairs was trying to encourage this unfortunate act.
