Talking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “wealth distribution” remark, Chairman of Indian Overseas Congress, Sam Pitroda on April 24 explained that when Congress talks about redistributing wealth, it means new policies and new programs that are in the interest of the people and not in the interest of super-rich only. "...In America, there is an inheritance tax. If one has $100 million worth of wealth and when he dies he can only transfer probably 45% to his children, 55% is grabbed by the government. That's an interesting law. It says you in your generation, made wealth and you are leaving now, you must leave your wealth for the public, not all of it, half of it, which to me sounds fair. In India, you don't have that. If somebody is worth 10 billion and he dies, his children get 10 billion and the public gets nothing...So these are the kind of issues people will have to debate and discuss. I don't know what the conclusion would be at the end of the day but when we talk about redistributing wealth, we are talking about new policies and new programs that are in the interest of the people and not in the interest of super-rich only," said Sam Pitroda.

Speaking to ANI, he said, “India has successfully navigated multiple shocks we’ve seen in the recent past, starting from the pandemic to the war in Ukraine and then the recent tensions in the Gulf. Growth at 6.8 per cent in 2024-25 is a very impressive number. And this is largely led by private consumption and public investment. I don’t see any red flags in the near term, but I would highlight one important aspect. Now, India has a young, growing population. India is likely to add about 15 million people to the labor force every year. Now, if you want to benefit from this demographic change, you will need lots of reforms. I think in particular, I would emphasize the need for significant investment in education and healthcare so that this growing labor force can contribute productively to the economy.”

The US would welcome any country interested in using its voice to further deter the Russian offensive in Ukraine and play a positive role in helping release hostages and defeating Hamas amid the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, US State Department Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel said at a press briefing on April 18. Asked how the US and the international community can use Prime Minister Narendra Modi's influence to end the ongoing war worldwide, Patel said, “Specifically, first in the context of Russia-Ukraine, if any country is interested in using its voice to further deter Russian aggression on the people of Ukraine, we certainly would welcome that and in the current ongoing context in Gaza, any country that believes that they can play a positive role in helping us get to a release of hostages, helping us get additional humanitarian assistance into Gaza, and helping to defeat Gaza, they certainly should and are welcome to play that role.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 06 launched a scathing attack on RJD in Bihar, saying that when "Jungle Raj" came to the state, migration increased and the future of lakhs of students of the state was put at stake. Addressing a rally here as part of BJP’s preparations for the Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi said it is essential for Bihar to be developed for "Viksit Bharat" and the NDA government in the state has given speed to development works. Referring to the Rashtriya Janata Dal government that ruled Bihar for about 14 years between 1990 and 2005, PM Modi said that "one family prospered" and youth had to go out of state to earn their livelihood. "How lands were grabbed in lieu of jobs. The challenge of outward migration increased during the Jungle Raj, those who brought jungle raj only cared about their family," he said.
