Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Sanjay Nirupam lashed out at Congress leadership and said, “I made an announcement yesterday and sent my resignation to Mallikarjun Kharge at around 10:40. I think right after they made this decision (to expel me from the party)...Congress party is a completely scattered party and the leaders of the party have also said that its ideology is directionless."Further, he said, "Earlier there used to be one power centre in the Congress party... but now there are five power centres in the Congress party and all five have their own lobbies which keep clashing with each other...In these five centres, first is Sonia Gandhi, second is Rahul Gandhi, third is Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, fourth is Mallikarjun Kharge and last is Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal ji... all of them are doing politics in their own way..."

PM Modi implemented CAA on March 11. Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri took a sharp jibe at the political leaders opposing Citizenship Amendment Act. He said, “There are persecuted minorities in some of our neighbouring countries- Buddhists, Christians, Jains, Hindus, Sikhs, among others... In 1947, the population of Hindus in Pakistan was 24% which stands at 1% today. In erstwhile East Pakistan, there was a certain Hindu population but now there are just 7%. Some of these people who came to India before 2014 are being given a right. The people who are suddenly worried that these few immigrants will take away all jobs and resources need to know that our population is 140 crores and only 1000 people have registered on the portal so far. The number of people who had applied for citizenship under the Citizenship Act of 1955 is also just 4000. What is this completely distorted picture which is being presented? This is not about religion.

PM Modi on 27th February, met German singer Cassandra Mae Spittsman and her mother in Tamil Nadu's Palladam. The German singer is known for singing songs, especially devotional ones in several Indian languages. While meeting PM Modi on Tuesday, she sang Achyutam Keshavam and a Tamil song as well. Previously, in one of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episodes, PM Modi had appreciated the singer’s passion for Indian music and culture. He was also seen praising her performance in the viral clip. Allahabad High Court on 26th of February dismissed Muslim side’s plea. Harishankar Jain, a lawyer representing the Hindu side, welcomed the recent Allahabad High Court's order to allow Hindu prayers in a cellar of the Gyanvapi mosque. This is a big win for Hindu side in Gyanvapi case. The plea challenged the order permitting Hindu parties to offer puja in ‘Vyas Tehkhana’ of Gyanvapi Complex. The High Court’s decision will allow Hindus to continue the puja in ‘Vyas Tehkhana’ of Gyanvapi Complex. Notably, the complex has 4 ‘Tahkhanas’ in the basement, of which one is still in possession of the Vyas family.
