Aam Admi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has become the first sitting Chief Minister to be lodged in Tihar Jail. The Rouse Avenue Court sent AAP supremo to judicial custody till April 15 in the Delhi excise policy case. As per ED, Kejriwal was shown evidence of more than 10 meetings of Vijay Nair with other co-accused persons involved in liquor business. During hearing, ED told Court that Kejriwal had admitted Vijay Nair of reporting only to party leaders Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a press conference on March 25, during the PC AAP leader and Delhi Minister Atishi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam. She said PM Modi is scared of Arvind Kejriwal as he is the only one who can challenge him so he wants to eliminate him. "BJP's political weapon ED arrested Kejriwal in a fake case. In a case which even after two years of investigation not even single Rupee proceeds of crime was recovered from any of the AAP leaders. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested after the ECI announced the dates of Lok Sabha elections in a case whose investigation has been on for two years ," said Atishi Marelna while addressing a press conference at party headquarters in Delhi.

On 20th of February, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ reached UP’s Raebareli. Congress and BJP workers confronted each other with loud slogans during the rally.
