The Indian cricket team have finally announced their new jersey for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Down Under starting on October 16. Rohit Sharma and co will wear a sky-blue theme coloured kit for the mega tournament that is will kick-start on October 16. “To every cricket fan out there, this one’s for you. Presenting the all new T20 Jersey - One Blue Jersey by @mpl_sport.  #HarFanKiJersey #TeamIndia #MPLSports #CricketFandom,” the BCCI tweeted. The graphic sees Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Hardik Pandya, Shafali Verma, Suryakumar Yadav and Renuka Singh Thakur donning the new jersey.


The jersey launch was a grand event. With the trend of #HarFanKiJersey making waves on Twitter and Instagram, Team India fans got a glimpse of their favourite team's jersey.



But before the tournament, Rohit Sharma's men will have a stern test against the T20I World Champions, Australia and followed by South Africa. With Virat Kohli returning back to form, Aussie red-ball skipper Pat Cummins stated that it was about time Virat returned to form. "To be totally honest, I did not see any of that tournament (Asia Cup). I think Sri Lanka won? Honestly, I did not see any of it. I saw Virat Kohli, I think he scored a hundred, yeah h is a class player, he was always going to return to form at some point in time. He is going to be a challenge this next week," said Cummins in a pre-match press conference.

Team India play the 1st T20 match against Australia on September 20 at Mohali.
