Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd on Monday said its consolidated net loss widened year-on-year to Rs 163.81 crore for the March quarter of FY26.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 23.55 crore a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL).

However, its revenue from operations grew 15.74 per cent to Rs 1,990.13 crore in the March quarter of FY26. It was Rs 1,719.48 crore in the year-ago period.

This is the "highest organic growth in the last 12 quarters for the company", the company said in its earnings presentation.

The "consumption trend remains stable" as demand was in line with the last quarter, it added.

The quarter witnessed low wedding dates compared to the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal. However, value retail continues to grow, driven by small-town expansions, it noted.
In the March quarter, total expenses of ABFRL, which handles Pantaloons and Style Up, increased 16 per cent to Rs 2,287.58 crore.

During the quarter, ABFRL added 70 new stores across its businesses, driven by its portfolio, including OWND, TMRW brands, TASVA, and TCNS.

The total income of ABFRL, including other income, rose 16.43 per cent to Rs 2,113.67 crore.

For the entire FY26, ABFRL's loss widened to Rs 829.89 crore. Its total consolidated revenue climbed 12.29 per cent to 8,486.53 crore.

Last year, the Aditya Birla group demerged its Madura business into a separately listed entity, Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited (ABLBL), effective on May 1, 2025.

ABLBL has its lifestyle brands like Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, Simon Carter and youth western wear label American Eagle. It also has a sportswear brand, Reebok, for which it has a long-term licensing agreement for the Indian market.

ABFRL owns a host of ethnic brands, such as Sabyasachi, Shantnu and Nikhil, House of Masaba and Tarun Tahiliani. It has premium ethnic wear brands, including Jaypore, Tasva and TCNS.

Shares of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd on Monday settled at Rs 67.46, down 0.07 per cent from the previous close.
