Sunit Morarjee - from Inspector Kute in Baaghi to producing All Is Well.
For four films now, audiences have known Sunit Morarjee as Inspector Sharad Kute - the cop who kept turning up in the Baaghi franchise, refusing to quit, always good for a laugh. With All Is Well, he steps into something quieter. And this time, he's not only acting in it. He's producing it too.
All Is Well is a single-shot dramedy directed by Rupesh Tillu, starring Sunit alongside Pooja Bhamrrah. Shot in one continuous take, with no cuts, the film puts you inside a house where a husband and wife have quietly stopped working as a couple. Their young son is somewhere in the middle of it, watching, taking in more than any child should have to.
There is comedy in it. But it is the kind of comedy families actually use - as cover, as a way of not saying the difficult thing out loud.
"The film is really about the gap between what a family says out loud and what it's actually feeling underneath," says Sunit. "The jokes in it are a defence mechanism. These are people trying to survive each other."
Anyone who has been on a set knows what a single take demands. There is no going back for coverage. No cutting away when a moment doesn't land. Both actors had to carry a full emotional arc - from small domestic bickering to something much heavier - in one unbroken stretch.
"It changes your instinct completely," Sunit says. "You stop performing the moment and you just start reacting inside it. The camera doesn't stop, so you can't either."
Sunit made his acting debut in Baaghi 2 (2018) as Inspector Sharad Kute, sharing the screen with Tiger Shroff, Manoj Bajpayee and Randeep Hooda. He came back for Baaghi 3 (2020) opposite Shraddha Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Disha Patani, and again for Baaghi 4 in 2025 - by then, fans had adopted Kute as the franchise's relentless cop who simply would not give up.
He has also been part of the Housefull universe, appearing in Housefull 4 (2019) alongside Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and the entire ensemble.
Between the two franchises, he has moved between broad commercial comedy and character-driven action - and held on to his own comic timing through both.
Long before any of this, Sunit was an assistant director. He worked on Khiladi 786 (2012) with Ashish R. Mohan and Special 26 (2013) with Neeraj Pandey, learning how a scene is actually built - from behind the camera, not in front of it.
He also trained at the New York Film Academy and studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, followed by workshops with casting director Mukesh Chhabra and acting coach Atul Mongia.
That AD background is part of the reason a single-take film appealed to him at all. He has spent months thinking about how a shot is planned, where the camera should sit, and when to simply let a moment breathe instead of cutting it up.
All Is Well is produced by Sunit Morarjee along with Rupesh Tillu and Anil Mahato under the Mad Fad Media banner - and it marks a clear shift in how he is building his career. Not waiting for the next role, but backing the stories he wants to be told.
It is also part of a larger slate. Sunit has a line-up of films and series releasing through 2026 and 2027, produced under the same & other banners, with more announcements expected through the year.
