IGP Cake Fest

Celebrity chef Natasha Gandhi and stand-up star Shreeja Chaturvedi may not be your usual baking duo, but at the IGP Cake Fest, they proved to be the perfect recipe for a city that came ready to eat, laugh, and cheer.

Making her way through a flurry of fondant and fearless flavours, Gandhi, best known for her breakout moment on MasterChef India, judged 40 passionate home bakers in what was aptly named the "Battle of the Bakers." From intricate piping to bold desi twists, the finalists didn't hold back. At the end of a day filled with tasting, storytelling, and more than a few emotional moments, Trashika Dsena was crowned the winner, while Jill Shah walked away with the Popular Choice Award.

Adding levity and laughter to the sugar rush was comedian Shreeja Chaturvedi, who delivered a live stand-up set that had the audience in splits, a refreshing palate cleanser in between competitive cake rounds.

Hosted by IGP, one of India's largest D2C gifting platforms, the fest marked a bold step into the country's booming dessert scene. While known for personalized gifts, the brand now delivers over 2 million cakes annually and the Cake Fest was a declaration of its growing presence in the world of baking.

Transforming Versova Social into a colourful, chaotic baking arena, the event themed "The Sweetest Scene in Your City" which brought together dessert lovers, creators, families, and fans of frosting for a celebration that felt more like a community reunion than a brand activation.

"IGP Cake Fest wasn't just about cakes, it was about connection, celebration, and community. And judging by the turnout and smiles, Mumbai was more than ready for it." celebrity chef Natasha Gandhi said.

From hands-on tastings and DIY cake zones to photo booths, giveaways, and even Mumbai's first-ever public cake fight, the event had something for everyone and no one left hungry.

"The response was overwhelming," said Tarun Joshi, Founder & CEO of IGP. "Our aim was to spotlight India's growing baking culture and build a real community around it and IGP Cake Fest turned out to be the perfect platform."

With an unforgettable mix of talent, taste, and togetherness, IGP Cake Fest wasn't just a celebration of baking, it was a celebration of community. From rising bakers to seasoned creators and dessert enthusiasts, the event brought everyone under one roof for a great evening. As IGP continues to champion creativity and craft in the gifting and celebrations space, Cake Fest marks just the beginning of many more joyful gatherings to come.
