Mulberry Grove

The idea for Mulberry Grove emerged from a question that founder and Early Years expert Tanya Nijhawan found herself asking repeatedly as the mother of a four-year-old son: Why isn't there a place where young children can simply be?

With over 15 years of experience in Early Years Education, a Master's degree in Early Years Education from University College London (UCL), UK, and a career spanning some of Delhi NCR's leading international schools, including The British school, American Embassy School, Pathways School, Tanya understood the importance of purposeful play in a child's development.

Yet, as a parent, she found herself facing a gap that many families experience. The options available were often limited to either highly structured environments such as preschools or conventional play areas that offered entertainment but little intentional engagement.

"I was constantly looking for a space where my son could be meaningfully engaged without being over-scheduled," says Tanya. "A place that felt warm, inviting, and flexible. Somewhere children could explore at their own pace, parents could participate if they wanted to, and learning would happen naturally through play."

What Tanya couldn't find, she decided to create herself.

Before launching Mulberry Grove, Tanya spent years building a community of young families through Twiggle and Wiggle, a platform dedicated to curating Early Years workshops, sensory experiences, and play-based learning opportunities across Delhi NCR. Through these experiences, she worked closely with children and parents, gaining first-hand insight into what modern families were seeking from early childhood spaces.

Mulberry Grove is the culmination of that journey.

"Twiggle and Wiggle always started with the belief that children learn best when they are curious, engaged, and free to explore. Over the years, families kept asking for a permanent space where these experiences could live. Mulberry Grove is that space. In many ways, Twiggle and Wiggle has finally found its home."

Designed for children aged 0-6 years, Mulberry Grove combines the expertise of Early Years Education with the warmth of a community space, offering sensory play, storytelling, creative experiences, workshops, and opportunities for meaningful parent-child connection.

Every corner of the studio reflects the philosophy that has guided Tanya's work throughout her career: play is not a break from learning - it is learning itself.
