: A child's education, a home loan, retirement savings, or protecting the family against a sudden medical emergency - most money decisions start with everyday life. Yet for many Indian households, handling investments and insurance often means dealing with several different companies, confusing jargon, and advice that is hard to judge.
nyvo, a Bengaluru-based financial advice platform, wants to change that by putting the family at the centre of financial planning.
Founded in September 2025 by Harsh Soni and Kshitij Jain, nyvo was built around a simple observation: buying financial products has become easy, but personal advice that helps people choose what is right for their situation is still hard to find. The company wants to make that advice available to families of all incomes and investment sizes, not just the wealthy.
nyvo offers investment advice and insurance guidance together through its two regulated businesses. nyvo money is registered with SEBI, India's market regulator, as an Investment Adviser (INA000022172), while nyvo insurance services LLP operates as an IRDAI-registered Corporate Agent (Composite), under registration number CA1085.
Its approach combines technology with real human advice. On the nyvo money app, users can check their mutual fund investments, set financial goals, get investment recommendations for them, and see whether their current insurance cover is enough. A free 30-minute call with an advisor lets families talk through their needs and understand their options before making any decisions.
For investment advice, nyvo charges a flat yearly fee that works out to less than Rs100 a month. There is no minimum amount to invest, and no commission on the mutual funds it recommends. For insurance, customers pay the insurer's standard premium, while salaried advisors help them compare policies and stay with them for ongoing support, including when they make a claim.
The thinking behind nyvo also comes from the founders' own work and life experiences. Soni spent more than 16 years in institutional finance, working with organisations including Bank of America, Kotak Investment Banking, SBI Capital Markets, and slice. Jain, an IIT Delhi engineer and IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, has worked in consulting and fintech, including at Boston Consulting Group and slice.
Together, they are building a platform around a simple idea: financial planning should start with what goals a family wants to achieve and what it needs protection against, not with the product someone wants to sell.
As more Indian households take charge of their own money, nyvo wants to make financial advice easier to access, easier to understand, and a normal part of everyday life.
