Priyani Vani Panditt

In an era where music constantly evolves, few artists manage to strike a harmonious chord between tradition and innovation. One such name making waves in music circuit is Priyani Vani Panditt, whose concert series Raageet is capturing the imagination of audiences in India and abroad.

Born in Jobat in Madhya Pradesh, Priyani's tryst with music began early-at the age of eight-under the tutelage of her father and first guru, Shri Lavesh Vani. What started as a childhood passion matured into a profound artistic journey, culminating in formal academic training. She holds both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Indian Music from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore.

Her vocal style is a confluence of influences, shaped by eminent gurus such as Smt. Bharti Soni, Shri Purbayan Chatterjee, Shri Gautam Mukherjee, Smt. Suvarna Wad, and Ustad Murtaza Khan Sahab. Rather than confining herself to one gharana, Priyani's approach is marked by versatility-rooted in classical discipline, yet open to contemporary expression.

At the heart of her artistic vision is Raageet, a signature concert series that reimagines classical ragas through an innovative lens. Each performance is more than just a recital-it is an evolving conversation between the past and the present, tradition and creativity. With Raageet, Priyani seeks to make classical music more accessible without compromising its integrity.

Priyani shares, "Music is a living entity. With Raageet, I want to create a space where tradition breathes freely in modern times."

Beyond performance, Priyani is also committed to education. She is the founder of the Raageet Music Academy, through which she mentors students across continents. With more than seven years of teaching experience, her academy is fostering a global community of learners passionate about Indian classical and semi-classical music.

Priyani's voice is not confined to the classical stage. As a playback singer, she has lent her talent to Bollywood hits such as Ha Har Ghadi (Thank You), Dil Ye Bekarar (Players), Good Night (Ferrari Ki Sawari), Punjabi Munde (Ghudchadi), and Like a Phoenix (Hindi Vindi). Her independent releases-Maahiya, Ab Tak Na Maine, Mohan Bin Radha, and Papa Tum Meri-further highlight her range and emotional depth as an artist.

Her contributions have not gone unnoticed. A recipient of a prestigious Government of India scholarship in Indian Classical Music, Priyani has performed at major cultural events including Mandi Mahotsav, Bhauramdev Mahotsav, SAARC Sammelan, Bihar Diwas, and the Asian Cultural Festival.

Internationally, her concerts have resonated with audiences from the Indian diaspora, particularly in New York and New Jersey, where she has performed under the aegis of Bengali and Gujarati associations. These cross-border performances reflect her commitment to building a borderless musical community grounded in Indian heritage.

Whether through Raageet, her teaching, or her diverse discography, Priyani Vani Panditt is steadily crafting a legacy that honors the past while embracing the future. In her voice, the soul of Indian classical music finds a fearless, modern echo.
