Inspired by a real-life story, Teesri Begum is a social drama featuring actors such as Mugdha Godse, Kainaat Arora, Zarina Wahab and Rachana Shyam.
Produced under the banner of BMB Production, the story revolves around a simple and innocent young woman named Pooja Dixit, whose life takes a dramatic turn when she is deceitfully married to Babban Khan. After marriage, Pooja's name is changed to Nagma, and she discovers a shocking truth - Babban Khan already has two wives. Feeling trapped in a web of deception, Pooja struggles to cope with the harsh reality.
The story takes an interesting turn when she receives support from her co-wives Shabana and Tabassum, and the three women come together to reclaim their dignity and stand against their oppressive husband. Producer-director K C Bokadia, who has delivered over 60 hit films with almost every major Bollywood star, has always been known for creating heroine-oriented social cinema. His latest film Teesri Begum also revolves around an important social issue and strongly advocates women empowerment.
