In a world where economic challenges often lead companies to scale back employee benefits, UAE-based World Star Holding chose compassion over compromise this International Workers' Day. Continuing a remarkable tradition of recognizing the dedication of its workforce, the Indian-owned company sent ten exceptional workers on an unforgettable four-day holiday to Thailand.

Selected from a workforce of more than 20,000 employees across the UAE's construction sector, the winners were honored with the prestigious "Star Performer of the Year" award for their outstanding commitment, discipline, and performance throughout the year.

The emotional recognition ceremony took place at the company's headquarters in Sharjah. Chairman Nishad Hussain personally presented the awardees with Five Star Gold Medals, while Managing Director Haseena Nishad handed over certificates of appreciation. For many of the workers-some of whom have spent more than a decade with the company-the moment represented recognition for years of silent sacrifice and relentless hard work.

The celebrations did not end there.

As part of the reward, World Star Holding arranged a fully sponsored overseas leisure trip to Thailand, ensuring every detail was carefully prepared. From new clothes, shoes, and travel bags to all travel essentials, the company made sure the workers experienced comfort and dignity throughout the journey.

Their adventure began aboard the iconic Emirates A380, the world's largest passenger aircraft, flying from Dubai to Bangkok.

For many of the workers, it was their first international holiday experience.

In Bangkok, they visited famous landmarks including the Golden Buddha Temple and the Marble Temple before continuing their journey to Pattaya, one of Thailand's most vibrant tourist destinations. A speedboat ride to Coral Island became one of the highlights of the trip, offering thrilling activities such as paragliding, jet skiing, banana boat rides, and underwater coral reef experiences.

Beyond sightseeing and adventure, the journey also introduced the workers to Thailand's rich cultural atmosphere. Exploring bustling food streets, tasting authentic Thai cuisine, and enjoying colorful street performances created moments of joy and wonder.

The itinerary also included visits to the famous floating markets and the unique Maeklong Railway Market, where trains pass directly through crowded market stalls. The workers also enjoyed close encounters with tigers and experienced elephant rides-activities many said they had only seen in movies or on television.

The emotional impact of the trip was deeply felt among the participants.

"For someone like me, I never imagined I would see such places even in my dreams," said senior worker Muniyan Palani with visible emotion.

Another employee, Ansarul Haq, expressed heartfelt gratitude toward both the UAE and the company. "No matter how much we thank this country and the company, it will never be enough. They have given us opportunities and memories we will cherish forever," he said.

Scaffolder Akshay Kumar shared how his job in the UAE supports his family back home. "My four children are studying because of the income I earn here. As long as my health allows, I am ready to continue working in this country," he said proudly.

Through gestures like these, World Star Holding continues to demonstrate that valuing workers goes beyond salaries and benefits-it is about recognizing human dignity, loyalty, and the dreams of the people who help build the nation every single day.
