I decided not to let that guide the way I dressed, because it was never about how I dressed, but what I represented through my clothes. I wanted every girl to feel that same freedom, and that's when I decided to bring about a change by starting Freo-meaning freedom and flow. From a little girl dressing up Barbies to a 28-year-old entrepreneur who manifests her world through her designs, it has been a long journey.
Freo is not meant to chase trends; instead, it is meant to create a space for women where they can thrive and find themselves without being constrained by beauty standards. "Beauty standards" is not a phrase in my dictionary, because it narrows the concept of aesthetics. I believe freedom comes from aesthetics, and freedom cannot be caged. This is the value that Freo aims to inculcate in modern society, and I try to express it through its silhouettes and shades-ones that don't fit women into a box, but instead, free them. My designs represent abstract ideas derived from my timeless art pieces, travels around the globe, and even my simple baking routines.
I aspire to create a society that looks at fashion as a form of self-expression, rather than something defined for someone else. Through Freo, I hope to encourage women to dress for themselves, embracing fluidity, individuality, and unapologetic freedom.
