MBA colleges India 2026
The survey covered 1,000+ institutes across 28 States and 8 Union Territories, with data considered as of March 31, 2026, 05:00 IST.
Research Methodology
A Primary Survey was conducted with 20+ academic experts, 5,000+ students, and 15 recruiters across sectors such as consulting, FMCG, and BFSI. Respondents were asked to nominate and rank the top 10 management institutes in India, including colleges within their respective zones.
The Perceptual Score was calculated based on:
For Factual Data Collection, a dedicated survey link was sent to 1000+ colleges. Of these, 356 colleges responded, and 42 institutes were excluded because they did not meet the minimum eligibility criterion of having at least three graduating batches. The remaining eligible data was considered for validation.
The Factual Score was derived using weighted parameters such as:
Since ROI is one of the most critical factors in MBA decision-making, special emphasis was placed on aligning median salary outcomes with the fee structure when calculating the score.
Institutes that did not respond or formally participate were also considered for inclusion based on verified information from mandatory disclosures, NIRF reports, IPRS reports, admission brochures, audited placement reports, and perceptions among key stakeholders, such as students, alumni, and recruiting partners.
The inclusion of non-participating institutes was done solely in the interest of students, so that the ranking remains broad-based, relevant, and useful for MBA/PGDM aspirants exploring the best B-schools in India. For a detailed Ranking Survey visit B-School Ranking 2026.
