Andhra Pradesh Tourism.
Andhra Pradesh is preparing to redefine the way people experience travel. Through a landmark three-year partnership with Explurger, one of India's leading travel technology platforms, the state is all set to become India's first AI-enabled tourism destination. The collaboration will introduce a smarter, more connected way for visitors to explore Andhra Pradesh's rich heritage, culture, spirituality, and natural beauty.
The collaboration will bring NiVU, Explurger's intelligent travel companion, to some of Andhra Pradesh's most popular tourist destinations. Instead of searching through multiple websites or downloading different travel apps, visitors will be able to simply scan QR codes installed at tourist sites to instantly access information about the destination, local stories, nearby attractions, navigation, suggested itineraries, and travel assistance in their preferred language.
The rollout will begin at 30 major tourist and pilgrimage destinations, before expanding to more than 100 locations across the state over the next three years. The initiative aims to make travelling across Andhra Pradesh more convenient, engaging, and informative for both Indian and international visitors.
The agreement was formalised in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh, who said the partnership supports the state's Swarna Andhra Vision-2047. He said the government is focused on creating world-class tourism experiences by embracing modern technology while showcasing Andhra Pradesh's rich cultural and spiritual heritage to a global audience.
For travellers, the experience is designed to feel effortless. Whether someone is standing before an ancient temple, exploring a historic fort, visiting a beach, or discovering a lesser-known destination, NiVU will provide relevant information, suggest nearby places to visit, help with directions, recommend local food, and answer travel-related questions in real time. With support for more than 130 languages, the platform also makes it easier for international visitors to explore the state without language becoming a barrier.
The initiative is expected to benefit more than just travellers. Tourism authorities will gain valuable insights into visitor movement, popular attractions, and travel trends, helping them improve services, manage destinations more effectively, and plan future tourism development based on real visitor behaviour.
Speaking about the partnership, Jitin Bhatia, Founder and CEO of Explurger, said the collaboration reflects a shared vision of making travel more connected, intuitive, and accessible.
"The future of tourism belongs to destinations that are intelligent, connected, and built around the traveller. This partnership with Andhra Pradesh Tourism is about creating experiences that are seamless, inclusive, and truly immersive. Every traveller should be able to explore a destination with confidence, discover stories beyond guidebooks, and access the right information exactly when they need it. We are proud to partner with Andhra Pradesh in setting a new benchmark for the future of tourism in India."
The partnership also marks an important milestone for Explurger. With a community of more than 22 million users, the homegrown travel platform continues to expand its vision of making travel more connected and rewarding through innovation.
As the project unfolds over the coming years, Andhra Pradesh is poised to become a model for the future of tourism in India. By blending its centuries-old heritage with modern digital experiences, the state is creating a tourism ecosystem where every journey becomes more immersive, more accessible, and more memorable for travellers from around the world.
