Chennai, Tamil Nadu - October 3, 2025 - Indian golfer Arjun Prasad captured his maiden professional victory in style, clinching the Tamil Nadu Open 2025 presented by SIPCOT and TANCEM with a composed performance at the Cosmo-TNGF Golf Course.
The 26-year-old produced a solid final-round 72 to finish with an aggregate score of 280 (-8), edging out a competitive field that included seasoned players and rising stars.
A Breakthrough Moment
Prasad's victory marks a significant milestone in his professional career, showcasing consistency across all four rounds with scores of 70, 70, 68, and 72. His precision off the tee and calm demeanor under pressure allowed him to maintain his lead, ultimately securing the coveted trophy.
Strong Competition
The tournament witnessed a thrilling battle on the final day as several players made strong charges up the leaderboard:
Jairaj Singh Sandhu of India climbed to 2nd place with an impressive finish at 284 (-4), carding 75, 71, 70, and 68.
N Thangaraja of Sri Lanka also secured joint 2nd place on 284 (-4) after consistent rounds of 72, 73, 69, and 70.
India's Mohd Azhar rose six spots on the final day to finish tied 4th with 286 (-2) (74, 73, 71, 68).
Jamal Hossain of Bangladesh matched Azhar, also finishing tied 4th at 286 (-2) (69, 72, 74, 71).
