Eros Innovation.
Racing runs on split-second decisions. So does sovereign AI. On the streets of Monaco, the two worlds shook hands.
Sovereign AI infrastructure company Eros Innovation and Formula E champions Envision Racing signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Monaco E-Prix, launching a collaboration to bring AI-driven performance, energy and cultural intelligence to elite electric motorsport, and to prove that technology forged at 200 miles per hour can power far more than a race car.
The plan is bold. Eros will deploy AI built to operate in one of the most punishing real-time environments on earth, running inside its secure sovereign trust layer with data authentication, quantum-ready encryption and high-frequency data orchestration. The bet: what survives a Formula E race can scale into energy grids, mobility networks and national infrastructure, with India first in line.
Eros Innovation is a cultural artificial intelligence company headquartered in the Isle of Man, with operations in the United Kingdom and India. It builds the Eros Large Cultural Model family, including Eros LCM-Vision, Eros LCVM-Voice and Eros LCVM-Music, developed with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
The models are trained on the Eros cultural corpus, a body of 1.5 trillion rights-cleared, ethically sourced cultural tokens drawn from 11,000 films and 100,000 characters. That corpus has been independently valued at USD 1.7 billion by OxValue.AI, a University of Oxford spin-out. Eros works across film, microdrama, animation and music, and its ambition here is explicit: build exportable AI infrastructure, not just a smarter pit wall.
Envision Racing is one of the founding and most successful teams in the FIA Formula E World Championship, and the 2023 World Champions. Owned by Envision, the team was created for one purpose: to inspire generations to tackle climate change and transition to e-mobility and renewable energy.
Sustainability runs through its DNA on and off the track, driven by its Race Against Climate Change programme, which mobilises fans worldwide to be part of the shift. The partnership will also build on Envision Racing's existing work with Envision Energy India and EARTHDAY.ORG, which supports sustainable community development in India's Sundarbans region.
"Motorsport represents one of the most demanding real-time decision environments in the world, making it an ideal proving ground for sovereign AI systems," said Ridhima Lulla, Co-Founder and Co-President of Eros Innovation. "Our ambition is far larger than racing. It is to build exportable AI infrastructure that can power performance, energy optimisation, mobility, and intelligent national systems, with India as a priority market." Sylvain Filippi, CEO and Founder of Envision Racing, said the fit was clear.
"There is strong alignment between our organisations around innovation, sustainability and the potential for advanced technologies to create impact far beyond motorsport or film production. We partner with organisations with purpose and we recognise that in Eros Innovation."
The MOU sets the framework for joint initiatives, research collaboration and technology development. First stop, Monaco. Next stop, everywhere.
