1. Tell us about your company? How did you come up with the idea and when did you start?
Home construction in India has traditionally been fragmented and unorganized, with homeowners relying on multiple contractors who often operate with outdated designs, thumb-rule calculations, and inefficient processes. This leads to frequent delays, labor shortages, supply chain disruptions, and unnecessary stress for families.
When I observed these struggles firsthand - from friends, relatives, and contract workers - I realized the need for a more organized and transparent system. This inspired me to launch buildAhome in April 2016 with the vision of transforming home construction into a structured, technology-driven, and customer-focused experience.
Our mission is simple: to make building a home an enjoyable and memorable journey rather than a stressful one. Today, after successfully completing 750+ homes ,buildAhome continues to bring this vision to life by offering end-to-end turnkey solutions - from design and planning to construction and handover.
2. Could you share more about your recent collaboration with Rahul Dravid and what makes this association significant for buildAhome?
This association with Rahul Dravid is deeply personal and meaningful for me. Over a decade ago, while I was still a civil engineering student, I managed to reach out to him for my father's birthday as he has been a lifelong fan. Although Dravid couldn't attend in person, he personally called my father on his birthday - spending time speaking warmly with him. That heartfelt gesture left a lasting impression on me and my family, showcasing his humility, authenticity, and integrity.
These are the very values that define buildAhome. Home construction is one of the biggest commitments a family makes - involving their life savings, emotions, and trust. Just as Dravid represents reliability, honesty, and dependability, buildAhome stands on the same pillars.
His association with us reinforces the message that we don't just build homes, we build trust. For every family that chooses us, their dream home will always be treated with the same care, transparency, and respect as if it were our own.

Sustainability is no longer optional - it's essential. At buildAhome, we are actively exploring innovations in green and sustainable construction, from integrating eco-friendly materials to designing energy-efficient structures that reduce the environmental footprint.
Our long-term goal is to create "well-being homes" - spaces that harmonize mind, body, and environment. For us, sustainability isn't just about materials; it's about building homes that promote healthier living, adapt to climate realities, and stand resilient for generations to come.
5. What is your long-term vision and future roadmap for buildAhome?
Our long-term vision is to make home construction more transparent, customer-centric, and technology-driven.
Technology Integration: We are investing in advanced ERP systems that streamline the supply chain, enabling contractors and vendors to place bids transparently and customers to track progress in real time. Additionally, we are developing design tools that allow homeowners to visualize and customize their dream homes with minimal architectural intervention, making the process both interactive and efficient.
Expansion Plans: Northern India is a key focus area for us, given its climate extremes that affect health and quality of life. We see a pressing need for intervention and innovation in turnkey construction there. Our roadmap includes expanding thoughtfully into this region with a strong emphasis on sustainability and climate-adaptive homes.
Future of Homebuilding: We envision homes that go beyond just being "green." Our approach is holistic - creating spaces that support physical health, mental well-being, and environmental balance. For us, every home must be more than just a structure; it should be a sanctuary that enriches lives.
