Actress Rayya Labib, who began her artistic journey in Guwahati, is now making a strong mark in Indian cinema. Drawn to films since childhood, she completed her education in Guwahati, where she also participated in beauty contests, theatre, and fashion shows-eventually earning the title of Miss Guwahati. After gaining experience in events and stage, she moved to Mumbai to explore her talent on a larger scale.
In Mumbai, Rayya trained through workshops, joined theatre groups, and began professional modeling. She was soon approached by international magazine Debonair for a cover shoot, which became a turning point. Following that, she collaborated with multiple major brands, becoming their face and shooting for several high-profile campaigns.
Her acting debut came with the film Lakme, produced by Prince Adhikari and directed by Sanjay Khandelwal. After a successful theatrical release across India, the film also launched on various OTT platforms. Though she returned to modeling post that, she remained open to meaningful cinema.
She was later approached again by producer Prince Adhikari for It's Over, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Dheeraj Kumar, known for Kashi, Suswagatam Khushamadeed, and the upcoming Vihaan. Sharing screen space with renowned actor Arya Babbar was a fulfilling experience for Rayya, who called him cooperative, talented, and kind. She also appreciated the entire cast and crew for creating such a heartfelt project.
It's Over is currently streaming on all major OTT platforms-a decision made to ensure that its message reaches as many viewers as possible. "The film shows how advanced thoughts are clashing with timeless emotions, leading to fragile relationships. It's something every generation, especially today's youth, can relate to," says Rayya.
Currently, Rayya Labib is working on two major web series set to release soon on top OTT platforms (official announcements pending). Alongside, she is also busy with brand commercials and other exciting projects slated for 2025-26.
From Guwahati to the national spotlight, Rayya Labib's journey is one of passion, purpose, and rising power in entertainment.
