Hyderabad based luxury wedding photography studio focuses on legacy emotion and cultural depth
As India's wedding industry continues to evolve-shaped by destination celebrations, cinematic reels, and Pinterest-driven aesthetics-one Hyderabad-based photography studio is deliberately slowing things down. Instead of chasing visual trends, it is choosing to document weddings as emotional histories meant to outlast algorithms.
At the heart of this philosophy is Siddhu Soma, founder of Vows by Siddhu Soma, a luxury wedding photography and cinematography studio headquartered in Jubilee Hills. With over 15 years in the industry and more than 1,000 weddings captured across India and global destinations such as the U.S., Dubai, Bali, Italy, and Thailand, Siddhu's journey reflects a shift from spectacle to substance.
Speaking about his approach, Siddhu Soma said, "Weddings are not about perfect frames or viral moments. They are about real emotions, unspoken bonds, and stories that families will look back on decades from now. Our responsibility is to preserve that truth with honesty and respect."
Unlike many contemporary studios built around fast-growing social media appeal, Vows by Siddhu Soma was shaped by years of observation, apprenticeship, and cultural immersion. Siddhu began photographing weddings in 2009, long before short-form videos and viral transitions became staples of the industry. Those early years, he says, taught him that the most powerful frames often happen away from the spotlight-during rituals, silences, and moments families rarely notice in real time.
That belief eventually led to the formal launch of Vows by Siddhu Soma in 2017. A year later, his life and creative partner Bhargavi Ambati joined the venture, bringing structure, creative balance, and a shared emotional vision to the brand. As a husband-and-wife duo, their personal journey-spanning over a decade of marriage and parenthood-has deeply influenced how they interpret weddings.
"Once you build a family of your own, you start seeing weddings differently," Bhargavi explains. "You realise they're not performances. They're transitions-moments where generations intersect."
Over the past seven years under their own label, the duo has personally documented more than 245 weddings, while leading a larger creative collective of over 50 professionals across India. This extended team of photographers, filmmakers, editors, and visual storytellers works with a unified approach: to create cinematic films and editorial photographs that prioritise authenticity over orchestration.
Stylistically, the studio's work resists excess. Rather than heavily posed portraits or dramatic setups, the focus is on natural light, layered compositions, and emotional continuity. The influence is editorial, but the soul is deeply personal. Each wedding is treated as a visual legacy-something couples will return to years later, not just content for immediate sharing.
Industry recognition has followed organically. The studio has been featured in You & I Magazine and honoured by Times Business and Business Mint. Their client list includes well-known celebrity families such as Allu Arjun and Niharika Konidela, yet the team insists that fame never alters their process. According to Siddhu, the same attention is given to an intimate home wedding as to a large destination celebration abroad.
What truly distinguishes Vows by Siddhu Soma in Hyderabad's competitive wedding market is its long-term perspective. "Wedding photography is an investment in love," Siddhu says. "It's not for today or tomorrow-it's for the people who will come after you."
In an era where weddings are increasingly designed for screens, this Hyderabad studio is quietly reaffirming their original purpose: to preserve emotion, honour tradition, and transform fleeting moments into visual heirlooms that endure far beyond the celebration itself.
